I’m Elizabeth Fowler, Founder and Principal of Security 1st Retirement Strategies. I spent more than 20 years as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and Edward Jones, working with individuals and families navigating long-term investing, changing markets, and complex financial decisions.

Throughout my career, I advised high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and clients with complex and public-facing lives, helping them evaluate portfolios across a wide range of market environments — including periods of volatility, prolonged growth, and structural change.

What distinguishes my work is not product selection or trend-driven allocation, but a deep focus on how portfolios actually function over time. I specialize in analyzing how asset allocation, concentration risk, income sources, liquidity needs, and time horizon interact — and how portfolios can be intentionally designed to support real-world goals, not just theoretical performance.

Over time, professional experience and life experience reshaped how I approach risk. I came to believe that long-term success depends on first establishing security, income durability, and downside protection, and then pursuing growth within that framework. That perspective ultimately led me to build an independent practice grounded in a Security First philosophy.
